  • Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls, the Team Lead, develops, implements, and monitors estimating standards, frameworks, processes, procedures, to ensure the delivery of accurate and reliable project cost estimates that enhance cost predictability.

This role is classified as “Office First” under the company’s Where We Work policy, and the successful incumbent will work full-time out of the company’s Calgary office

Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years or more of related work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of project control processes, including estimating, cost management, planning and scheduling, and change management.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Strong familiarity with Stage Gate Project Delivery Model best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of AACE estimate classifications and estimating techniques.
  • Collaborative leader with a passion for mentoring, coaching, leading, fostering teamwork and guiding others; capable in navigating and facilitating difficult conversations.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster teamwork within the department and across.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and prioritization skills.
  • Thrives under pressure, adept at managing strict deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Critical focus on accuracy and detail and work efficiently in a time-conscious and time-effective manner in a high-paced, agile, dynamic and multi-task environment.

Other Requirements and Information

  • May need to provide support outside of regular business hours and/or on the weekend.
  • 5-10% travel to various site locations may be required.
