Superintendent, Substation- Vancouver

- The Substation Superintendent is responsible to ensure that projects are completed on schedule in compliance with the contracts, the job cost estimates and that all work is completed safely, to high standards of quality. 

- The Superintendent also manages day-to-day operations at project sites and yards.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Technical school background and at least ten years of Substation maintenance and construction experience.
  • Experience in power distribution and transmission line work up to 230kV.
  • Experience in the Utility Contracting Industry.
  • Working computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of HV construction techniques, practices, and fundamentals.
  • Experience with contract and subcontract management.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and work within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to perform shift work (e.g., 21/7, 14/7, 10/4, etc.).
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Strong understanding Labor and union.
  • Strong understanding of change management.
  • Read and interpret master schedules and building 4 week look ahead with scheduling activities.
  • Daily progress reporting.
