Manager, IT Business Office-Vancouver

Role Overview

- Reporting to the Director, Strategy, Planning and Performance, the Manager, IT Business Office co-ordinates strategic planning and performance management for IT and its’ partners, both internal and external to Teck.

- As part of Teck’s Growth Strategy, the TDS team is on multi-year journey to provide technology services that support the expansion of current operations and development of new operations.

- In this newly created position, you will lead, design and implement improved strategic and operational planning processes, supporting the IT leadership team and departmental teams to build robust, measurable plans.

- You will demonstrate a data-driven approach to empower teams to understand their performance in business terms.

- You will instigate processes for the collection, analysis and review of key organizational performance information, track progress, evaluate against goals, connect with collaborators, and inform future plans.

- You will maintain and handle relationships with critical external vendor partners, and internal partners like finance, to ensure IT teams have the vital support to complete plans.

- Through outstanding leadership and a deep knowledge of planning and IT operations, you will improve TDS’ planning and performance capabilities to enable TDS to deliver the services that our operations need.
