Reporting to the Superintendent, the Feeder Cable Splicer is responsible for splicing high voltage and secondary network systems (power cables used in underground distribution). This position installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems.
What You Bring to the Team:
Qualifications to test and repair all kinds of lead and metallic covered cable – from underground to overland cables.
Minimum Class 3 Drivers License with Air Brakes and a clean Abstract.
Qualification and experience with PILC splicing.
Ability to properly break down paper and lead joints and construct a split sleeve for PILC joints.
Implement safety procedures, how to use tools and materials, and how to operate a bucket truck in preparation for more complex technical skill development and assignments.
